What sort of format does your league use?
Teams are split into playpools and play every other team in the pool once. All teams then go into tiered playoffs for one of the 3 or 4 trophies available for that season.
Are playoffs included? How does this work and who is selected for them?
All teams make the playoffs, with playpool winners entering the Crossfire cup and those at the other end of the table entering the Spoons of Wood.

Are there any league dues? How much is this and what does it cover?
All players need to do is pay the cost of a club night when they come to play their games.
Describe your league in 2 to 3 sentences?
CBBL is a super friendly environment for coaches of all levels to enjoy regular games and developing their teams to achieve glory in one of the cups!
What type of community or culture does your league promote?
Sportsmanship and fun are the key things above all else.
Tell us the history of your league?
Crossfire had very nearly started a beginner league a couple of years ago but lost momentum due to circumstances beyond it's control. When Camy had the opportunity to kick start the effort again he rustled up a number of new and existing players and the league began! We have now completed our second season and are planning Season 3 when we return to the club in the new year.
How has the league evolved over time?
The league is still quite new but we will review our rules each season and make tweaks and improvements to try to continually improve.
What memorable moments do you have from your league?

Overtin Hertz suffered a particularly brutal start to their campaign this season after a grim misfire saw one of their Halflings flung to a fatal finish!
In a match that will go down in Blood Bowl infamy, the Overtin's ogre powerhouse Scott McC attempted a risky play late in the second half - launching halfling teammate Wee Tony in a desperate bid for a touchdown. Unfortunately, the Ogre's notoriously poor aim and questionable understanding of aerodynamics saw poor Tony soar straight into the roaring crowd.
Spectators, many of whom were already dodging flying beer mugs, were unprepared for a halfling projectile but that didn’t stop the pile on. Medics reached him swiftly, but the injuries proved fatal.
A spokesperson for the Halfling Players’ Guild released a statement calling for “greater emphasis on trajectory training” while Scott, when asked for comment, offered a single remorseful “Oops.”

Season 1 was won by Simo (@simosan) and his Dark Elf team who went 5/1/0 in the regular season. We've just finished season 2 where James (@wotwu07) took his Tomb Kings all the way only conceding 2 touchdowns.
Do you record any other milestones/statistics? If so what notable stats do you have in your league?
Season 1 saw 48 league games played, not to mention an additional 90 friendlies for teams looking to practice and earn some more bribe money! We had 545 casualties, 76 red cards and 356 touchdowns in total – entertaining crowds no end.
Season 2 had much less friendly games, but league games were much friendlier! Only 19 sending offs and 254 injuries despite Ripper Bolgrot taking to the field 10 times for various teams!
Has your league hosted any special events or tournaments?
The club hosted the Bawrus Heresey tournament earlier this year, combining Blood Bowl and Horus Heresey games in the one hall for a well-received event that we are hoping to run again.
Do you host social events/meet ups outside of league nights? (give examples where necessary)
The club has semi-regular social outings to catch a movie or such like.
How do you encourage engagement between members, especially new members?
Of course, it's a friendly place and everyone is welcome.
What is your expectation from member coaches?
We expect coaches to have fun - and to help their opponent do the same! There is a short Code of Conduct in the Season rules publication.
How do new coaches join your league?
Simply join the Crossfire Discord server via the website and introduce yourself!
