Raising at least £500 for My Name’5 Doddie Weir Foundation in memory of Tracy
Sadly, Chris Noden, known to many as StripeyDave, lost his wife Tracy last year to motor neurone disease. Chris had this to say when asked if he was happy for the team to raise funds in Tracy's memory,
Tracy, my wife of 27 years died of MND at the end of last year. In the last few months, one of the things that's kept me on track is the Scottish Blood Bowl community. Having such a supportive group of people to hang about with has been a real blessing.
When Team Scotland suggested raising money for MND Research as part of the build-up to Eurobowl it was a very touching gesture.

As a squad, we have decided to dedicate the Away shirt in Tracy’s memory and invite coaches from Scotland and across the wider Blood Bowl community to buy the shirt and support My Name’5 Doddie Weir Foundation.
The aim is to raise at least £500 to support the Foundation’s work funding research into MND and supporting those affected by the disease.
For those from further afield who might not know Doddie Weir, he was a Scotland Rugby Union international who was diagnosed with MND after his playing career. He was a giant of a man on the field of play, and even more so when he faced the disease with unbridled spirit. He was also famous for sporting his Doddie Weir tartan trews and jacket wherever he went.

We have taken inspiration from the Doddie Weir tartan to influence the design of the Team Scotland Away shirt. It was a real team effort with the Scottish community having a hand in shaping the final design when asked to vote on the finishing touches.
The shirt is available to buy for £31, including at least a 10% donation to charity.
The squad will still be aiming to do Scotland proud on the table, but this year we also want the wider community to help us do something meaningful off it.
Introducing Kelvin the Kilted Unicorn

The Kilted Unicorn has long appeared on Team Scotland shirts at Eurobowl. The unicorn is the mythical creature found in Scottish heraldry, and for a long time he has not had a name. He has now been christened Kelvin, after the river that flows through Glasgow, as he will also be Eurobowl XVIII’s mascot when the tournament comes to Glasgow in 2028.
The figure design was kindly commissioned and paid for by Ant Purdie, Purdindas, Scotland’s most capped Eurobowl coach. Those who have the pleasure of playing against Team Scotland at Eurobowl will receive a Kelvin miniature as our gift to them.
However, if you want your very own Kelvin, you’re in luck. For £5, he’s all yours, with all proceeds after the cost of printing going to the Foundation.
Win a star player painted Kelvin from Scotland Painter of the Year, Amsfeld
Amsfeld, Ben Smith, TO for the Scottish Team Champs and current UKTC Best Painter, has agreed to turn his talents to a star-player-sized version of Kelvin. The model will be bigger than the standard one you'll be able to order to help make him stand out! We'll show progress from Amsfeld as the paintbrush works it's magic.

Everyone who orders a Kelvin miniature will be entered into the draw to win what will undoubtedly be a very good looking unicorn.
Team Scotland Tartan Army T-shirt remade
We are also refreshing the Team Scotland Tartan Army social tee. Sporting the Team Scotland logo on the front, Tartan Army on the back, and the MND Doddie logo on the left arm in place of the Home Nations logo, this is an affordable way to show your support for Team Scotland and the charity.

The cost of the shirt is £16, including at least a 10% donation to charity.
If you don’t want to buy any of the very cool Team Scotland merch then you can always make a donation directly through the JustGiving page that Chris Noden has set up to collect donations between now and Eurobowl.
