Team Scotland line-up announced for Budapest

Scotland Captain finalises Eurobowl line-up that will go to compete in Hungary for hosting rights.
Team Scotland Captain, BB_Jock, was elected to build a squad of twelve for Eurobowl XVI. The idea was to use the season in the leadup to the tournament to prepare his squad to compete in Budapest with the ambition to bring Eurobowl to Scotland in 2028.
With roster submission due at the beginning of next month it's crunch time where the skipper had to put pen to paper and lock-in the line-up of eight coaches to represent Scotland at the Eurobowl. Jock and his vice Captain, Purdindas, met last week for a final planning meeting to review the performance of the Scotland coaches in the squad and how they’ve fared this season.
When asked about whittling the squad down from twelve to eight coaches to compete in the Bowl Jock had this to say,
“At the start of the season I selected the best twelve coaches who applied to represent Scotland in Budapest. They’ve each done me proud and put in the hard yards in the lead-up to Eurobowl. The reality is that each and everyone one of the coaches in the wider squad could easily do a job in the Bowl team.
This is one of the strongest squads we’ve ever assembled and selecting the final eight was a tough job. We’ll go there to compete together as a unit of twelve both in the Open and the Bowl along with the wider Tartan Army of thirty-one Scottish coaches in total. I’m confident winning hosting rights after many years of trying is well within our grasp. Of course we will go to compete hard, but rest assured we’ll do it with a smile on our face and enjoy the company of the coaches from right across the community whilst we’re there.”
Scotland is sending the Tartan Army with thirty-one Scottish coaches making them the sixth largest travelling contingent of coaches going to Hungary this year. Famed for their love of a good time the Scotland coaches will look to add to the gaiety of Eurobowl.
In addition to the twelve in the Team Scotland Squad there will also be a second Scotland team in the Open - Team Scotland Futures, captained by Fromherashes. This team was selected to gain experience of the Europen with the potential to be a future Team Scotland Cap.
