About the event

Welcome to the first of the (hopefully) annual Scottish League Tournament, an opportunity for us to settle our differences on the pitch, and battle for the title of the best league in the country*.

The tournament is being hosted by the SBBC Committee – the Scottish Team Championship on 13 April 2024 in Uphall, West Lothian (same venue as this year’s Mulligan’s open). We’ve kept it as close to the UKTC date from the last couple of years as possible to hopefully fill that void in your life! Should hopefully help with any practice for the UKTC and EuroBowl as well.

This a Team Tournament, with teams made up of four coaches. As with all team tournaments, the results across the full team will make up the individual round results. As it’s a team event, no Scottish Championship points can be earned, but if we get enough teams signed up, then Constructors Points will be up for grabs (if everyone in the team has declared for the same league)!

From the 14 October, League Commissioners will be able to purchase one team ticket for their league. We want every league to be represented where possible, so each league can buy a ticket early. To be eligible to play in the team, all for coaches must be eligible, and have declared for the league for the year – more on this below. Even if every league buys a ticket, that will still be around 50% of the total capacity.

From 29 October at 9am, general ticket sales will be opened up for everyone. The four coaches can be part of any league, or don’t have to be part of any league at all. If all four coaches are part of the same league, and have declared for that league, they can also potentially earn constructor's points.

Price: £60 per team of four coaches + £5 NAF registration for non NAF coaches General ticket sales from 29 October 2023 Location: Uphall Community Education Centre Date: 13 April 2024

League Declaration – at the first tournament of the calendar year each coach attends, they will be asked to declare for a single league. Once you have declared for a league, any points you earn for the remainder of the year will be awarded to the league as Constructor’s Points. You can of course play in multiple leagues, but points are only awarded to the one you have declared for. Chose wisely!

League Eligibility – to be eligible to declare for a league, you must be an active, current participant in that league. This means playing league games there on a weekly or monthly basis etc. If you do not currently play in a Scottish league, you can still earn points as an Exile.
